SAP ITS (Internet Transaction Server) mobile connects mobile devices to an SAP environment to run web-based Web Dynpro apps. It has been used in SAP ECC, SAP EWM, SAP AII, and non-SAP browser-based applications. ITS mobile architecture has been used to support barcode scanning, pick by voice, RFID in numerous shipping, receiving and warehouse applications.
SAP continues to support the SAP ITS Mobile platform but hasn’t updated the technology for more than 5 years – and Wed Dynpro and ITS mobile won’t work with SAP S/4 HANA.
The list of browsers and operating systems that work with Web Dynpro mobile applications, SAP ITS Mobile, and SAP environments that support it are decreasing. You may also be taking risks by using out-of-date technology that doesn’t enable optimal security.
